The Golden Rules
1. **Give it Space:** It needs to suck air in. Leave at least 30cm (1 foot) of clearance on all sides. Do not hide it behind the sofa. 2. **Elevation is Good:** Placing it on a small side table can help it catch dust before it settles on the floor. 3. **Close to the Source:** If the problem is damp, put it near the damp patch. If it is sleep, put it near the bed. 4. **Close Windows:** It cannot clean the whole world. If the window is open, it is fighting a losing battle.
Bedroom Placement
Ideally, place it about 1-2 metres from the foot of the bed. You want the clean air to reach you, but you don't want a draft blowing directly on your face all night.
Summary
Treat it like a fan. If it can't "see" the room, it can't clean the room.
